![]() ![]() Welcome to Buckley Golf Club
With the Tararua
Ranges as a backdrop and only 1.5km from the township of
Shannon, Buckley is a natural, undulating 16 hole course (with 2
holes played twice from alternative tees) featuring meandering
creeks. Unsuspecting golfers need to watch out for the crocodile
on the 5th hole.!
Being a true rural course you may have to share your visit with a few sheep at times.. The club was established in 1936 and was originally in Buckley Road before moving to its current location in Engles Road. Whilst membership is small, a willing team of volunteers continue to ensure the course is well groomed. Club day is held every Sunday at 11:00am and guest are welcome. We also have an excellent clubhouse which is available for corporate and social events. There is a full programme all year round, with a number of local renowned tournaments. So next time you are travelling through pop in and enjoy our hospitality. |
